Congregational Visioning Survey

Earlier this Spring our congregation began the work of re-visioning to take a step back, redefine our values, and examine our activities that we might more effectively impact our community and more faithfully manage the generous offerings given to God through the ministry of First Presbyterian.

We are living in a time of a great deal of change and a time of great social and economic division in our society.  Many institutions (schools, government, business and industry, families, lifestyles and even churches) are experiencing these changes directly.  Our church is no exception.  Our church has been described as a church of great vitality and a church with a great future.

Our goal in this survey is to gather feedback from our ministry participants about our church and its future through your responses to a few questions. Over the next month, members of our Growth and Sustainability Taskforce will be visiting existing church groups to gather verbal feedback in addition to this paper survey. This feedback will also be shared with our Pastor Nominating Committee. On Pentecost Sunday, we will celebrate our findings to that point, and from there a Vision Taskforce will make a recommendation to the Session to select our defining values and vision statement, in an effort to unite our participants and equip us to easily tell the story of what God is doing within, through and in partnership with FPC Stillwater.
