2020 Children's Time, Talent, and Treasure Pledge

Thank you for making a pledge of time, talent, and treasure to God through your church. God calls us to be good stewards of the gifts that we have been given. These gifts include things we do, the time we spend, and the money we give to share God's grace, love, and peace in real ways.

This is stewardship: caring as God cares by using each talent God has given us.

Listed below are ways that you might use your talents for God. How will you commit to love God through our church community this year?

On Sunday morning: Greet people at the door before the worship service (if accompanied by one parent). Be an usher at worship services (3rd grade and up). Bring forward the offering during the worship service. Attend Children & Worship (3 years to 3rd grade). Share the Peace of Christ with other worshipers. Invite a friend to worship.

On Sunday morning, for 4th and 5th graders: Be a liturgist in worship Read Scripture or say a prayer in the worship service

There are other opportunities to offer help and encouragement of others in the family of faith. How would you like to share your talents within the life of the faith community?

Ways I will serve the church: Make special decorations for worship, events, or celebrations, if asked Help pick up litter around the church Help with Trustees' spring flower planting (Saturday morning, mid-March) Help water the courtyard flowers in the summer months

Ways that I can serve our Stillwater community: Help roll silverware for Saturday Brunch (with a parent) Volunteer quarterly at Our Daily Bread on our church service day Participate in local service projects (sort Community Food Basket items, make gifts for nursing home residents, etc) Bring items for Community Food Basket Bring a small gift for MPower Bingo prizes (can be stickers, old magazines, a small stuffed animal) for adults with special needs Make cookies for University packages or Compassionate Meals Choose a card from the Giving Tree and help my family fulfill their wish list for Christmas

Every penny that we can share, God can turn into a sign of hope, peace, and promise. Talk to your family about what you can give each week. If you have an allowance or earn money for chores, consider giving part of what you earn in an offering to the church.
